Sorry, I misunderstood your previous post… now I had similar request and I see this Custom Post Type Permalinks plugin. So yes, it’s possible… little bit tricky but possible.
Can you test this version, or it’s not relevant for you anymore?
Download: https://files.kubiq.sk/remove-cpt-base-v2.zip
Unzip it and replace /wp-content/plugins/remove-cpt-base/remove-cpt-base.php
