WordPress Download Manager Redirect Error

Hi there,

I’m testing out this download plugin on a dev site and whenever Remove CPT Base is enabled I get redirect errors on the post pages from that extension.

Any chance you could take a look using the free version and see what the issue is?

please write some instructions/steps, how to replicate your issue, or if you have separate DEV website and you don’t mind, then you can give me access directly there…

So in case you want to write steps here, then I’ll install this download manager and then what should I do to see that issue?

I’m using Remove CPT Base in conjunction with the Custom Post Type Permalinks plugin. I think if you have the three plugins installed you should be able to replicate the issue where redirect errors occur when trying to view each download post.

I can give you access to the testing site if you want.

Do you have Remove CPT Base and Custom Post Type Permalinks plugin installed together?
The download posts works fine for me as soon as I disable Remove CPT Base.

yes, everything is like you wrote
maybe there is some conflict with other post type
or try alternation mode

hmm, I enabled alternation mode on the CPT that I have Remove CPT Base enabled for and that didn’t help.
I can’t think how there would be a conflict with another post type because the error goes away when Remove CPT Base is disabled.
None of the other post types use the same slug as the download plugin either so I’m at a bit of a loss here.

Try now, it should work

Looks like now it’s just showing a duplicate of another post with the same slug (but a different post type)

https://test.barrens.chat/content/download/gathermate2/ <- this one should be using the download manager post but it’s a duplicate of the post above.

But you use Remove CPT for both wow-classic and download?
Because it will not work then… you can not have exactly same slug at the end (gathermate2)
Removing CPT base is very tricky as there is already conflict with pages and posts, so solving another conflict between 2 CPTs with removed base is almost impossible

No Remove CPT won’t be used for downloads at all.

Please contact me on info@kubiq.sk – send there FTP credentials again and please create also administrator account for me, so I can play with settings in my plugin without hacking it with PHP code, it will be much faster for me then
